In other news - Week 1 DONE. BOOOMMMM. Teacher retirement = 176 school days away.
Kids are good, school is good. I am so much more confident this year it is insane. You have natural allies in teachers but also in students. My absolute FAVORITE part of the first day back was seeing my old students as now seniors. I just love being with them and asking them about their lives (and secretly, because now I can be their friend, and not their teacher/enforcer :)) It's a lot easier to be relaxed and cool with them - because I don't have to teach them. I love my kiddies !!
ALSO, as a first week survival (and first pay day) surprise to myself - I bought myself my first major watch. It's pretty blingin. Pretty excited about it. I'll put up pictures soon!
